An attempt to capture all my findings and my quest. So many moments get lost..that I thought it's high time I start capturing them. I am going to attempt to tuck in all my ideas, diy projects, photographs I click, my travel experiences, my cooking experiences…that's a long list now!:)
Love the online world ❤ for all the sharing and info out there! These Nan Khatais bring back some childhood memories 🙂 They literally crumble and melt in your mouth…! This time I couldn’t believe I made them!*Happpppy Dance** \m/
Do try them out…they are easier than you’d think :-O or what I thought : -D
Dry ingredients: ( i like sifting them together)
Maida – 1 1/2 cup
Besan – 2 tbs
Suji – 2 tbs
Baking powder – 1 tbs
Baking soda – 1 pinch
Elaichi powder – 1 tbs
Crushed almonds – 5 tbs ( love them!:P)
Wet ingredients: mix till it’s a smooth texture
Castor(run granular sugar in a blender) – 1/2 cup
Oil – 1/2 cup ( If you have ghee, add in 3 tbs)
Mix the wet ingredients first and then add the dry ingredients to make a nice soft dough.
Rest the dough for 15 minutes in a cling plastic wrap.
Shape the dough into the nan khatai shape..basically thicker cookies .tiny dome shaped 🙂 and rest them in the fridge for another 20 minutes.
Bake them at 350 F for 15 – 20 minutes – **Keep an eye**
Cool them off on the cooling rack.
NOW! – Wait and soak in the aroma of your kitchen!:D
